EWI Chapter President 2013/14 Brenda Barbarich and Sister Judie
Last year, EWI Detroit Windsor had the honor to support Sister Judie with her mission to bring comfort and food to homeless in Detroit.
Last night she was on WDIV News at 11. Click here to see the report. http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/woman-on-mission-to-help-hungry-in-detroit/28990986
Sister Judie is an angel from heaven to the hungry, the homeless, and the sick in Detroit.
Sister Judie has devoted her life to bring comfort and dignity to disadvantaged people. She distributes lunches daily to the homeless on the streets of Detroit and, when possible, provides socks, t-shirts, underwear, hygiene bags and blankets, as well as other basic needs.
She cares for impoverished children with cancer by transporting them to the hospital for their chemotherapy, radiation and other treatments and provides support to the patient and their entire family. Currently she supports 35 families with a child dealing with cancer.
Support Sister Judie
The need is great for food, warm coats, gloves, and blankets. Volunteers are needed to help pack lunches and deliver food. If you would like to contribute or volunteer, see the complete list of needs and contact information below.
