Harms Elementary in south west Detroit open their doors to the EWI Detroit Windsor Reading Rally once again. And what a day it was. With the gym under renovation, we ‘rallied’ in the hallways. While EWI shared the 2014 programs, the kids were having fun and the excitement was building. They got really excited over the prize box and the First Prizes, 50 Beanie Babies donated by 11 grader and child author Sheridan Nunnery.

As she does every year, Renea Callery led the charge getting us all singing and dancing to YMCA.  She is the ‘Top Inspirer’. The staff and the kids all got in on the fun!

Not only are we looking to have close to 30,000 books read by the end of the school year in June 2015, we want every student at Harms to take their reading to the next level!
